Dagoberto

Dagoberto Silva was born and lives in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. He studied Arts at the Escola Soares dos Reis in Porto and has continued to exhibit there since becoming a professional artist.
Dagoberto paints outdoor subjects with an impressionist and expressionist style, capturing fleeting moments of reality. Dagoberto’s art is characterised by his use of a palette of warm and contrasting colours and the use of spontaneous, slightly nervous brush strokes which bring movement, brightness and luminosity to his work.
Dagoberto is a highly celebrated Portuguese artist featuring in several respected art journals and books and continues to help aspiring artists through the foundation he co-founded (ARGO) and painting masterclasses.
