Scope of Service

The website www.taviradartes.com functions as an online catalogue. While we do not process automatic payments directly on the site, we do facilitate distance sales via email and bank transfer. By placing an order via our enquiry system, you agree to these terms.

Product & Pricing Information

  • Descriptions: We prioritise accurate artwork information. Every purchase includes a Certificate of Authenticity containing the artwork’s photo, name, artist, medium, dimensions, and signature.

  • Images: Please note that digital screens vary. The colours of the artwork displayed on your screen may differ slightly from the original piece.

  • Pricing: Retail prices are presented in Euros (€) and include VAT at the legal rate in force.

  • Errors: In the event of a pricing error (e.g., a technical glitch showing a price of €0.00), Tavira D’Artes reserves the right to cancel the order and refund any amounts paid.

Ordering Process (Distance Sales)

Since we deal in unique artworks, our sales process is manual to ensure personal service:

  1. Enquiry: You submit an enquiry via the website form or email.

  2. Confirmation: We confirm availability and provide a quote including shipping costs (which vary by size, weight, and destination).

  3. Payment: To validate your order, payment must be made via Bank Transfer.

  4. Validation: The order is only processed and the artwork reserved once we receive proof of payment or the funds clear in our account. If payment is not received within [e.g., 3 business days], the reservation may be cancelled.

Shipping & Delivery

  • Costs: Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer and will be clearly outlined before you finalise the purchase.

  • Inspection: Upon delivery, you must inspect the packaging. If the artwork appears damaged, you must note this on the courier’s delivery receipt and contact us immediately.

Right of Withdrawal (Returns)

In compliance with Portuguese Law (Decree-Law no. 24/2014), if you purchase an artwork remotely (online/email) without visiting the gallery, you have the right to cancel the contract within 14 days of receiving the good, without providing a reason.

  • How to Cancel: You must notify us clearly by email at taviradartes@gmail.com.

  • Return Shipping: You must send the artwork back to our Tavira address within 14 days of notifying us. The artwork must be returned in its original condition and packaging.

  • Cost of Return: The customer is responsible for the direct cost of returning the goods. [Note: You can choose to pay this yourself, but usually, for art, the client pays returns. If you want to pay, change this sentence.]

  • Refund: We will reimburse the payment (including standard initial delivery costs) once we receive the artwork and verify its condition.

Warranty & Authenticity

All artworks are covered by the legal guarantee of conformity where applicable. More importantly, we guarantee the authenticity of the works sold. The Certificate of Authenticity provided is your assurance of the item’s provenance.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (RAL)

In the event of a dispute that we cannot resolve directly, consumers may resort to an Alternative Dispute Resolution Entity (RAL). Designated Entity:
