Anna Rolskaya, a Lisbon-based artist, initially began her creative journey as a hand lettering illustrator. Growing up in Russia, she received formal art training encompassing watercolor, charcoal still life, plein air painting, clay modeling, and her beloved folk crafts like Khokhloma, Zhostovo, and Palekh. It was here that she developed a deep affinity for intricate ornamentation and a vivid world of colors, shaping her artistic vision for years to come.
In 2015, Anna’s path led her from Moscow to Porto, where she pursued her master’s degree at ESAD Matosinhos. In 2016, she ventured into teaching calligraphy and hand lettering online, achieving significant success. Anna authored two books with a major Russian publishing house, one of which became a bestseller in its debut year. Additionally, she conducted workshops in global cities like London, Tokyo, Singapore, New York, and more.
