Contaminated by the drawing virus from his childhood, Eric Gérard nevertheless invested himself in scientific studies. His passion however always remaining intact, he began to make himself known through his watercolors.
It was in 2000 that he discovered, at Bernadette Triki’s “courant d’art” workshop, the oil technique with a knife. He will then express this joie de vivre through a range of warm colors in his landscapes and his picturesque house facades.
Painting, for him, is firstly soaking up and then choosing a moment. Much more than a landscape, it is the atmosphere in which the setting is bathed that his paintings evoke. Beyond that, it is the artist’s state of mind at the time of creation that the play of colors translates.
Member of the European Artistic Merit, he exhibits his works in personal and group exhibitions.
