Flávio Horta comes from the Alentejo region of Portugal, an area that has a provided a significant influence on the themes of his work. Flavio artistically represents the people of his homeland through using a contemporary, realist style. His work is best described as being in the style of the ‘Old Masters’ but with a contemporary twist.
